The antelope kachina has been a part of Zuni jewelry as early as in the 1940s & 1950s and this charming winged, antelope necklace is believed to date to the 1960s.  Fashioned in sterling silver, and set with traditional Zuni inlay work of mother of pearl, turquoise, coral, jet and pen shell, this piece exemplifies the lapidary mastery of the Zuni people.

Lightweight, this whimsical piece features the antelope kachina on a sterling silver shield flanked by feathered wings - all connected with a handmade Navajo chain.

This is a wonderful piece suitable for lovers of Southwest jewelry and collectors of figural Zuni jewelry.
