Earrings, Oscar Betz, Fan, Unusual, Turquoise & Mother of Pearl, Hallmark, 1024

Size Guide
KNOWN FOR HIS ORIGINAL STONE SETS AND ONE OF A KIND JEWELRY, OSCAR BETZ IS MOST FAMOUS FOR PERFECTING THE FEATHERWEIGHT, SOUTHWEST CHANDELIER EARRING.

Despite their large scale, Betz’ earrings are easy to wear and perfectly balanced, and always set with a beautiful mix of stones. Prolific in the ’70s and ’80s, Oscar’s pieces are now actively sought out and purchased by Hollywood celebrities including Liz Taylor, 7th Ave. designers including Ralph Lauren, as well as collectors of fine Southwest jewelry.   His work remains in high demand today.

These contemporary clip-on beauties are a slight spin on Oscar’s traditional hinged fan-delier earrings, incorporating winged turquoise stones to accompany the petit point turquoise and mother of pearl stones that are hand cut and hand set by the artisan himself. This pretty pair was designed to complement the Little Mary collection, but works beautifully to accompany almost any DDR designs!

Oscar Betz (1954-; Anglo), Stone sets; stamp work.
