Ketoh pronounced: GAY-toh

This is an exceptional vintage Navajo turquoise silver ketoh bracelet. This outstanding piece contains two old Royston turquoise stones. The stones rest on a remarkable large square-shaped silver piece The surrounding silver works consist of repousse diamond patterns, raub rios teepee patterns, sun stampings, and bordering channel patterns. An accenting Blue Gem turquoise stone that is situated at the top right side of the sterling silver plate. This vintage ketoh dates back to the mid-20th century, though the leather appears to have been replaced more recently.

Originally worn to protect a warrior's wrist from the snap of a bowstring, the traditional ketoh or bow guard gets handsomely reinvented by Southwestern artist, Buffalo. Featuring classic Navajo stamp work accented with genuine American Turquoise, our Earth Spirit Ketoh bracelet gets detailed even on the back buckle.
