Bolo, Inlay, Vintage, Peyote Bird, Zuni, '50's, 975
A great bolo can go a long way in adding an element of awesome to an outfit -- it’s unexpected and impossible to ignore.
This colorful cutie is a 1950s vintage Zuni piece designed in the likeness of a Peyote Bird, an animal that is associated with water, renewal of life, vision, and wisdom in many Native American cultures and appears frequently in that style of jewelry. This particular Peyote Bird is created in classic Zuni inlay style, using smooth stones of turquoise, black onyx, coral, and mother of pearl, intricately outlined in sterling silver. The handmade cord is braided leather tipped with sterling silver aiguillettes. It’s a gorgeous little pop of color, and who knows -- maybe it’ll bring ya a little extra wisdom!
