If you’re familiar with the Southwestern jewelry scene, you recognize the Leekity name. This vintage creation by renowned artisans George and Lupeta Leekity features a stunning sterling silver slide crafted with a cluster of twenty gorgeous turquoise nuggets and drop details. The cord is a traditional braided black leather tipped with sterling silver aiguillettes. Stunning and exquisite craftsmanship, a gorgeous statement piece for a guy or a gal.

George Leekity (1942-; Zuni). Active since 1970s. Cast work; nugget sets; crosses; silver, gold. George Leekity is married to Lupeta Leekity, the daughter of Horace Iule.  Their work is tamped G&L Leekity.  They stamp “IULE” on their reproductions of Horace Iule designs.

Lupeta Leekity (1942-; Zuni). Active 1950s-? Lepeta Leekity is the daughter of Horace and Lupe Iule, and the sister of Barney, Cecelia, Phillip, Robert and Ruby Iule.  She shares stamps with her husband Geroge Leekity.
