A BEAUTIFUL BELT BY FRANCIS BEGAY

This belt is a gorgeous piece crafted by Francis Begay, a Navajo silversmith with years of experience and technique under her belt. This belt  will continue to add that finishing touch to your wardrobe. It starts on a vintage leather belt that is a light brown color. As for the buckle, it is a cast sterling silver accented with simple stamp work and two large bezel-set Orville jack mine turquoise stones in the center. This bold buckle adds that perfect creative touch.

Frances Begay is a Navajo silversmith with over 50 years of experience. She began making jewelry in the 1950s, selling her jewelry at the Portal in downtown Santa Fe. She later moved to Las Vegas, NV to work with her son who is also a renown jewelry maker.
