The sleek, chich pebbled leather strap is finished with a beautiful buckle created with stones of turquoise, red coral, lapis lazuli, and fossil ivory arranged in cobblestone mosaic inlay and framed with sterling silver. The colors, the craftsmanship – everything about this vintage beauty is remarkable and collectible.

Hanson “Moogie” Smith was born in California, and raised on the Navajo Reservation. He is of the Bitterwater Clan and learned silversmithing from his grandfather, Ambrose Oliver, and has been an active jeweler since 1995. He specializes in set stone and tufa work. He has been in numerous exhibitions including Santa Fe’s Indian Market and the Eiteljorg Indian Market in Indianapolis.
