Shawl, Indigo, Mossi, Hand Dyed, Vintage, 116

Size Guide
We are obsessed with these indigo-dyed Mossi shawls!

Created by the Mossi People of West Africa, each shawl is comprised of narrow handwoven strips combined into a single blanket and then hand-dyed using native indigo. These buttery soft shawls are one-of-a-kind, having spent decades on two continents and passed down and treasured by multiple owners. Splits, mending, and indigenous repairs are a part of their unique beauty and patina. Wear them as a light wrap, toss them over a sofa, or lay them out for a picnic!

Note: "The girls" have hand-selected each shawl to compliment Double D Ranch's collection and "Nana" has freshly laundered every piece so they are clean, super soft, and smell amazing!

  • affiliation: West Africa, Mossi People
  • materials: indigo-dyed cotton strip weave
  • vintage condition: these shawls are decades old. Due to their age and handmade nature, small splits, indigenous mendings, and repair are a normal part of their unique beauty attesting to their age and extensive use.
