Size Guide

This recliner radiates nostalgia, even if you never had one. Personally, it takes us back to our Granddaddy Odie’s famous green recliner, but this one is (thankfully) more of a kelly green leather than avocado.  This handmade piece comes from the home of 96-year-old former Western rodeo horse trick rider Jean Vanderlyn of New Paltz, NY. Her father owned the Bar V Ranch in Ohioville, NY. He taught her to ride, they both tooled leather, he was a metalsmith and made many of the items in the home, including furniture, lanterns, lamps, etc., many with their Bar V logo. The sturdy wooden frame and wide armrests are hand-chiseled and the leather back is tufted with actual quarters! What a find.
