CAN YOU SAY COLLECTOR?

The Begay family of artisans is highly revered for a reason, and this stunning belt is just another example of why. This statement-sized vintage belt buckle is the work of famed Navajo silversmith Victor Moses Begay. It’s a rounded rectangle of stamped sterling silver adorned with 50 stones of blue-green turquoise arranged in classic cluster designs and accented by twistwire details and sterling silver drops. We’ve always said that belts (particularly southwestern and Native American ones) are really more jewelry than anything else, and this beauty certainly fits the bill! The bold buckle is accompanied by an olive green Tony Lama leather strap to complete the look.

Victor Moses Begay (Navajo). Active since the 1950s. Lapidary and silversmith. Traditional; multiple styles; inlay; needle point and cluster work.
