  • Belt, A Vintage, Concho, Turquoise, 3rd Phase Revival, Harry Morgan Hallmark, 156

A CONCHO BELT FOR THE TRUE COLLECTOR.

The late Harry Morgan was a widely renowned and highly revered Navajo silversmith; he came from a family of well-known artisans and served as a mentor to several more, like his brother-in-law Kirk Smith. His work is highly sought after and collectible. This third-phase revival style concho belt displays the intricacy of his work, featuring classic oval scalloped conchos with turquoise center stones alternating with butterfly style conchos, all arranged on a dark leather strap with an ornately stamped buckle with turquoise cabochons. It’s a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.

Harry Morgan (1946-2007; Navajo). Revival or retro style; boxes; buckles; canteens.  Harry Morgan worked as a silversmith professionally since 1965.Father of Jacob Morgan. Nephew of Charlie Bitsui. Multiple award winner.
