Double Talk

If you’ve been following the ‘I Go Back’ collection from the beginning, you’ve likely come to learn one thing about the McMullen family: we were seemingly always on a road trip. They were all memorable and meaningful in their own right, but it was a fortuitous family ski trip to this tiny New Mexico town that would unwittingly change the trajectory of our lives.

We’ve taken you down to Matagorda and up to Cody, and now we are headed east to the heart of Tennessee with a collection that’s full of sexiness, sass, and sparkle!

The shenanigans were mild, but the temperatures certainly were not. There was a lot of sweating, a lot of water-drinking, and a lot of Mitchell laying on the ground. And, as always, a lot of laughter.

Where does the inspiration for Double D Ranch come from? Short answer: everywhere. As we looked ahead to the 30th-anniversary collection of Double D Ranch, we found ourselves looking back, reflecting on all the experiences and adventures that have shaped us throughout our lives, from our roots to our road trips to our role models.

To oversimplify it, the Matagorda collection is an amalgamation of influence. And, the Matagorda signature print, well, it’s an amalgamation of the collection.

It feels like we’ve been looking ahead toward our 30th Anniversary Collection for so long, that it almost seems surreal that we’re on the precipice of the launch. But it’s here. We’re excited and we’re proud. We’re kicking off the 30th collection, I Go Back, with a trans-seasonal collection dedicated to our roots in Matagorda County.
